So good for new perspectives

Every day, we do something new. Every day, we see beauty. Though this is about my 17th trip to Germany with students, there is always some excitement for me on these trips. A couple of days ago, I realized that one of the students had not spoken any English all day! And he has only had 1 semester of RC Intensive German! This group has been good about speaking with strangers, ordering in German, navigating Germany in German, keeping up the pace and moving between intensity of shows and laid back lunches. We've also been able to connect with a couple of other RC German students, when they were able to join us for theater or ballet.

View of the orchestra pit for Alice im Wunderland.
The music was outstanding.
I've been late to post photos, so here come a whole bunch! These give a good sense of our bouncing around between culture and countryside.
Alice im Wunderland ballet. Phenomenal!
Diction workshop in the foothills of the alps.
Installation in Pinakothek der Moderne

I'm sure it reminded him of his childhood. Just kidding. : )
The views out the window of our train!
This group has spoken so much German!

A chance to meet up with an RC student studying in Munich!
Cuvillies Theater

This was today. It was much grayer than it looks but tomorrow will be warm!

  1. I am so jealous! Wish we had done this stuff way back in 91-93 when I was actually there! Love the pictures and the blog.
